Holiday Inn & Suites Stillwater-University West by IHG

Our stay at this location was unexpected in such a nice way. I called my sister who lives in Stillwater to ask for hotel recommendations. At the same time, my wife was looking online, wondering what side of town to stay away from. We ended up deciding on this location, due to its proximity to my sister's house, price, and general reputation of Holiday Inn. I normally have issues checking-in, due to my visual impairment; however, I was greeted by a genuinely helpful member of the staff. He wasn't falling over himself to be helpful, and also, not uncomfortable or unhelpful. At first glance, he reminded me of someone who would be working in the trades. From a customer service perspective, he was such a good fit; competent in all areas. The hotel was very nice. It was clean and well-kept. The hallway to our room and the room smelled clean, but not just made to smell that way for appearances. Everything in the room was in good working order and well-maintained. The bedding was comfortable and the door lock worked the first time, as it should. My wife was very impressed by the breakfast and the staff down there. They made her an omelet and I had biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage, which did not disappoint. Definitely worthy of a tip to the friendly staff and worth my time to leave a nice note here. We had our dogs in-tow with us, and they weren't forgotten. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to them. The areas outside were grassy, with waste bags and trash cans to keep the areas tidy and clean. We will absolutely be staying here whenever we're in Stilly!

The check-in process was super fast and easy. The staff was friendly. I believe the hotel was fully booked but it was nice, clean and quiet.

Facilities were very clean and updated
